These are really cool. Nice to see a blogger I've been reading for a while get featured for her work.
I just tested it on my blog and noticed that when I clicked on a link and it sent me to the post page for that particular post all of my Adsense ads units went blank. If I then clicked the post title all the ads came back.
Once I figure out what happened or why my units disappeared with the widget I'll use it.
In case Amanda sees this: how about the thumbnail pic in the recent posts widget. I think that's my favorite widget thus far and probably the best idea for widgets had so far. Good work.

I really wanted to point out sassyqarla.com. They are using blogger hosted but they tweaked the site very well. I can't believe that blogger can be as good as what they have right now.

I like the Recent Comments gadget (I have another version on my blog right now). However, when I attempt to use Amanda's, the apostrophes and ampersands come across with codes instead of the actual punctuation. For example, see mrbrownthumb's comment in the recent comments on this post.
Blogger in Draft is having problems. Does not work the "white", only "html".
I like an alternative approach to recent comments and posts - find both feeds and add each to a Feed gadget. The list shows the titles only, but it matches the blogs style, which these new gadgets do not.

The Picasa Gadget does NOT show the recent photos due to this bug which has been around for a while.
It's not Amanda's fault (and I tried to report it to her before it got out of hand).. oh well.
Nice new widgets, but could the html trouble be fixed as well? It could perhaps be added to this earlier overview with some kind of ability for error reporting by users.

The html code of Recent Posts gadget is "dt > a". I need "ul > li > a" to match my template's CSS.
瓦特比 The recent post gadget lives in an Iframe outside the scope of your blogs CSS.
Only certain style parameters are passed to the gadget.
The standard feed gadget can do something similar, but is directly a part of your blog (and the css).. just past it your blog Feed as the FeedUrl

I'll also talk to Amanda about the HTML escaping. May be a bug on our side.

@SVBillabong Amanda was able to work around the Picasa issue by appending &q= to the end of the Picasa feed URL. This means the Picasa gadget will now show the most recent photos. The Picasa team is also working on a permanent fix.
One more thing, Blogger has a bug such that gadgets are unable to correct inherit the font-face from the blog. We are working to get this fixed so the gadget will have the same font as your blog.

If you look through that Picasa thread, you'll see the &q= HACK is intermittent (at best), certainly not something I would use UNTIL the Picasa API Group says they'll support it permanently and leaves us a message to that effect in the forum, AND their documentation!! However it does seem to work today.
The CSS info I was referring to above is related to the user (瓦特比) thinking that the entire Blog CSS would be in effect with gadgets.

The recent post widget is ugly. It doesn't follow the CSS style of the blog. Please fix it. Meanwhile I will continue to use Feedburner's headlines burner.

I would like to suggest a better Recent post widget, with thumbnails. If you could introduce it to Blogger users, I'm sure they will love it.

With all these great features regularly made available, why not some additional templates -- specifically a Minima Stretch 3 column, with a centered column for blog posts and sidebars on left and right? There seems to be a market for this, but I have been reluctant to use those that are not approved and provided by Blogger.

I tried many times every day but same sh...!
gadgets like "Get answer", "sing in", 2 different gadget "coments" dont work. Always I can get it to my blog but it still empty withount any link to write there. I take out and in..again again. Always same. Another problem vit Video gadget. That I give to blog site, but always after stop it and dont work. Just can see picture of video or open small window but empty -not play. And every where they write how is simle give in blog they gadgets but nowhere is link if don´t work and nowhere is detail help. I can do many think in many programs also some graphic, but I´m not profesional to change or find their problems in HTML. Can someone help or tell me where I can find help to solve this problems.

Good luck.. You might try @blogger on twitter. Blogger support is horrible, even more so with gadgets. They'll tell you to contact the gadget developer, but don't even give you a link to find them.
They need a central place to record bugs, comments and ratings BEFORE people install problem gadgets.

Thank you for adding nothing and point to someone else/other services like usual. The last time Blogger came up with something really useful is Import & Export so we can swicth to WordPress. (That's almost a year now)
Where's
- User subscription (I'll pay for this) - WordPress has it
- Member-specific label/post - WordPress has it on plugins
- Static page feature - WordPress has it
- Sticky - WordPress has it on plugins
- More templates (don't tell us to get somewhere else, those require html knowledge, aren't 100% compatible.
Stop depending on other people/services and get back to work, will you? (please)

"Recent comments" is still sending codes instead of apostrophes. Can't see any response to this problem. Makes it unusable. Deleting for the time being.
Now all I need to do is actually work out how to use twitter hehe
