To export your blog, log in to http://draft.blogger.com/ and go to the Settings > Basic page. You’ll see the Blog Tools links at the top of the page for importing and exporting. (We also moved blog deletion up here from the bottom of the page. Don’t worry about accidentally clicking it, though; your blog wouldn’t be deleted until you confirmed on the next page.)
Once you click “Export blog” and press the “Export” button on the next page, your browser will prompt you to save the XML file for your blog. Keep it somewhere safe as a backup, or import it into a different blog. You can import one blog into another from the Blog Tools links, or when creating a new blog. Look for the “Advanced Options” at the bottom of the page. When you import a blog, all of the posts will get saved in an “imported” state. From there you can publish just a few, or all of them at once. Here are some ideas for what you can do with importing and exporting:
- Merge two or more blogs into one. Take the exported posts and comments from one blog and import them into another one.
- Move individual posts from blog to blog. After importing, select just a set of posts to publish and publish them with one click.
- Back up your blog to your own storage. You can keep your words safe and under your control in case anything happens to your blog, or us, or if you want to remove them from the Internet.
- Move your blog somewhere else. Our export format is standard Atom XML. We hope to see other blogging providers extend their Atom support to include import and export. And, if you decide to come back to Blogger, importing your export file will get you back up and running in seconds.
- The export format currently only covers blog posts and comments to those posts, not blog settings or templates. To back up a Classic template, copy and paste the template code from the editor. To back up a Layouts template, use the Backup / Restore template option to download a copy of your template.
- Before importing a blog for the first time, we recommend that you create a new, throwaway blog to import into so you get a sense for how the process works. Once you’re comfortable, import into your public blog.
- At the moment there is a 1MB size limit on the blog you can import. This is a bug that we are correcting the issue.

The export seems to be working.
I tried to import into my backup blogspot blog. Results at the URL http://draft.blogger.com/import-blog.do ?

Nothing saved. This is an unmodified export file.
It appears that the export function isn't escaping everything it needs to be escaping and is output raw html on long lines.
I'd put in an example, but my attempt to encode the html into entities isn't working. I could have sworn that html_encode was in PHP. It's not. :-p The export file is 2 megs. I could put it up accessible if you want. bytehead @ that Google email service. :)
Thanks for the feedback bytehead - we'll get on this.
Can I import/export comments from/to a service like Disqus?
Will users be able to import blogs from WordPress and Movable Type onto blogger?
~Darnell
You really made my day!
Is it compatible with Wordpress blogs? If so, bye-bye, wordpress.com!
Can I import posts and comments from my old blog? I'm not sure if it supports xml for comments, but it does for posts.
It doesn't work with Wordpress XML files, after having tried it several times. Are there plans to implement this feature to the imports?

For me as well when importing an exported blog.
Thank you!
PLEASE let us know if we can import Wordpress and or Typepad blogs..
You provided the wrong path to reach the Blog tools:
Instead of "go to the Settings > Formatting page"
... you should go to "go to the Settings > Basic page"
Blogger Imports and Exports are great. Especially when you - after five years of absence here - want to go back to Blogger which developed into a great service with all the benefits other (mainly non-free) services have, too. I am also one candidate more to ask whether there is any converter or plans to make it possible to import from WordPress or MovableType-blogs. I am also willing to accept any hack that works as long as I can move all the data into Blogger as soon as possible!
Thanks for this really great feature!
+1 for the

DarkUFO: I've passed your blog information along to JJ and the import / export folks. They'll try to figure out why the import didn't work and fix the problem.
Ramiro: Whoops! Fixed. Thanks!
As for TypePad / WordPress import and export, we're looking at the possibility. We're using the open Atom standard for import and export, though, so someone else might be able to code it first!
Keep us informed, then, Pete!
And thanks for the good work!
I was able to export it without any glitch

Blog back up and import/export things are very useful for me, this what i was looking for ages.
DarkUFO, Bytehead, Snekse: At the moment there is a 1MB limit on the size of the blog you can import. This is a bug that we are correcting.
Thanks for the update Siobhan. Makes sense as my test export/import was with a 8 MB XML file.
Cheers.
Google has size problems with files? LOL.
OK, I can wait. I will be having limited Internet connection during the month of July (Vacation! In a foreign country no less! Yeah!!!!!!!), but I'll try again in August!
I also want to import from Wordpress. If Blogger can do that, I will no longer use Wordpress.com OR my own installs of WP.
hi. it does not work for wordpress.com. "some problem" in import xml file. I splitted that file.
When I tried to export my blog to my hard disc on my Laptop though it saved a file but on opening the file it is partially showing up-around 70% of the posts, while lots of earliest posts are not showing up. No comments are too showing up. Error shown is here below.
The following tags were not closed: feed, entry, content. Error processing resource 'file:///F:/blog-06-28-2008.xml'.
Pl. help me how I can save complete Blog with comments.
Thank you very much for this. I'm waiting for years for a backup tool in blogger :)
I have no problem to do my backup.
Import from wordpress xml files is not working as of now, hope they make it work soon, maybe both are using different protocols
Maybe the case is that Wordpress uses RSS2.0 and Blogger atom feeds. someone should create a tool to get this work.
Any chance of using this to migrate my livejournal account to blogger?
Export and import functions went great, but my "imported" list is getting tough to manage because of the number of imported posts. (I have posts I'd like to import from another blog also, but not until I get through this list, publishing those I want to keep and deleting each individual post I don't want.)
Here's my feature request: In the same way that you can check multiple imported posts and click "Publish Selected", can you add an option to check multiple posts and "Delete Selected"?
Thanks!
if i change contents from one blog to another blog wouldn't google search decide my content as Duplicate? will it be indexed again by google search?
I have been paitently waiting for this! Can I import external comments into blogger? I have an xml dump... Anyone?
Warm geeky regards,

In the export file in comments, email addresses for Blogger profiles are being exposed in the email tag, even when the profile is hidden and/or the email addy is set to be not shown, instead of the noreply@blogger.com placeholder.
I suspect that's not the desired behavior.

i have same problem with "import"
good feature, but still must be repaired :)
I want the same feature as Sara, I would like a new blog based on a few posts from an existing blog - deleting the ones I don't want to keep in the new blog will be a chore.
Like this feature. Now if it would import WP XML files, alot of folks would leave Word press and come back to blogger. I already have. :)
i exported my blog to a file on my desktop, opened it and discovered it only saved posts back to feb this year. it failed to save posts made prior to feb. the blog has been live since nov 07.
Regarding the post about wordpress doing only RSS. It actually does Atom natively. You simply append 'atom/' to your feed url. Example: http://www.mysite.com/feed/atom/
Strangely, though, it still doesn't work. Must be some field that the blogger import chokes on. Working to see if I can track it down.
I can't get it to work either. I have exported files from Livejournal as XML files and it just says "There were problems importing the file.". They export as BML files. I notice that when you browse for a file it automatically adds .xml to the end. I tried removing that and doing it, same error, I tried changing an extension to .xml (vs bml) and it wouldn't do it. No go. Argghhh!
I try to import http://Jedi.org/weblog/blogger.xml but only 20 posts and 0 comment imported. (It should be 57 posts and 36 comments.) It will be nice if you can help me figuring out what's going on.
At 1.87 mb my blog wouldn't transfer. When will the 1MB be increased?
also "error" when try to import xml from wordpress... (free one). when will it be able to get so? and can i import the comments of the posts as well? thx.
Another vote for the ability to import an export from Wordpress. I host my own site and would switch to Blogger if this option were made available.
when will we be able to email comments back directly from the comments page?? I know this is off topic but I can not find a CONTACT US selection anywhere on blogger
I second all of the requests here, and would like the option of a time frame export added, such as exporting last year's posts, or only post from June, etc.
I am have the problem of partial exports too. I seem have all of my posts, but the last comment listed was cut off mid-sentence. The comments were also compiled as seperate posts instead of being associated with their respective posts.
I love the idea of this feature!
I am receiving the error message "HTTP 400 Bad Request" when trying import my blog. When will the "glitch" on the file size be fixed?
It would be really great to be able to move Livejournal over to Blogger. I, along with I'm sure many other people, would love to move all their Livejournal posts over to Blogger. I believe they just export it in XML, and not the atom-formatted XML file format that Blogger is using now.
This is great! I was just looking for a way to do this. Now, how do it export/imports things like links and blogrolls to a new blog??
didn't work for me either - importing 407kb xml from wordpress -
bX-igshzj
Additional information
host: draft.blogger.com
uri: /import-blog-new.do
I did an Export - it exported the words just fine - but not the pictures. Also, the comments for each blog post were all just bunched together at the end of the document, so you couldn;t tell which post they related too.
Is this normal?
Thanks,
there were problem importing the file.
wordpress xml...not able to import till yet...
i keep getting "There were problems importing the file."
i've tried several times but didnt work.
and the file is less than 1mb. the .xml file is exported from wordpress.
can you solve this asap? thanks
EVERYBODY seems to be having problems importing Wordpress XML.
They must not have read this post, where Blogger openly admits that they crippled this feature to only work with Blogger blogs, instead of the stranded Wordpress XML format.
To summarize, you guys aren't doing anything wrong. This feature is not supposed to work with Wordpress.
...seems dumb to me...
> pat hawks
but what if someone wants to switch over to blogger, and has 100+ posts in wordpress, by crippling this feature, it would deter most not to switch over to blogger, in which i dont think blogger would want to achieve.
Like I said, it seems dumb to me!
Is there a timeline for when the following bug will be fixed?
"At the moment there is a 1MB size limit on the blog you can import. This is a bug that we are correcting the issue."
YOu have a great blog, thanks for this post.
Can I import a blog from wordpress to Blogger??? I´ve tried but it doesn´t work!
I have a couple LARGE blogs, 8 megs and 20 megs, and I have removed the custom blog template I had and am trying to import the blog data I exported, but I keep getting:
Server Error
The server encountered a temporary error and could not complete your request.
Please try again in 30 seconds.
Why can't I import the blog? I deleted the original blog and created a new one, and it's not working.
ZMan!
Any ideas when the fix to allow importing of large blogs will be fixed? Right now, I have an empty blog and really want and need the data imported.
The Export and Import *of the words only* worked ok for me BUT none of the pictures or comments were imported!
Am I doing something wrong, or does this need to be fixed?
When I try to export my blog, the exported XML file is always truncated --and always at the same position.
I have tried this with all sorts of browsers (FF, IE, Opera, Safari etc.) and the result is the same.
This is the error I get from IE when I try to open the XML file:
The following tags were not closed: feed, entry, content. Error processing resource 'http://draft.blogger.com/feeds/1908808...
This is the blog I am trying to export: http://muzminanonim.blogspot.com/
Could you help, please.
I am having trouble importing comments as well. What could be the problem? I'm trying to import comments from sagesteps.blogspot.com, but only the posts are imported every time I try.
Boy does it suck, that you cannot import regular atom or rss files...
I even tried converting an rss-feed through googles own feed-converter at:
http://www.google.com/reader/atom/feed/http://www.albinogorilla.dk/engberg/rss
But that file doesn't work either..
Please document this or fix it, so that I can import my old blogs into blogger...
Comments must be possible to export/import. Now it does not work.
This feature is great, however something is missing here. Suppose i take backup of my blog today, after 1 month i want to take again backup. Currently what it does it it takes the backup of all the posts again which people doesn't want. They want to have backup of only new post posted after last backup. Does that make sense ?
Like other's experience, it didn't pull my whole blog in .. or it doesn't look like it did
This is just odd .. it appears to have my 3rd post on, BUT under that is comments from the past few posts I have done .. oh and the file size is 488kb
**chases tail
My exported file seems to have been truncated at around 4MBs. Is that a hard limit? I only have around half of my total posts.
Hi, I imported my previous blog into a new one but I can't post any new message and get the message:
"Post was not saved due to form errors"
Can you help me ?
The new blog is http://conseils-iphone-3g.blogspot.com
Thanks.
Sorry, but just after posting my previous message I tried again and it worked !
I got a captcha when trying to post again and blogger accepted to save my message!
Thanks!

I exported my blog a while back, and tried again to import it, it is 8 megs, and it did not import everything, and also, it screwed up something. Now I cannot post anything, when I try, I get the following, like the user above was getting:
"Post was not saved due to form errors"
When is the import issue going to be fixed? And these errors?
As I can't get to google groups as the firewall blocks it in the nursing home I am unfortunately in, I have a request, please make a place for a sticky post!
I can sleep at night now!!! I had the terrible fear that something was going to happen and I'd lose ALL the hours of work I put into these posts. I'm so happy with this new feature. (I exported and assume it worked, anyway!)
I agree with the person who requested a feature where we can check multiple posts and hit delete once.
Thanks for always trying to make Blogger better.
Kelly
Export done smoothly without any problems and the backup can be read with konqrueor nut fail when using FF
Big question that I haven't seen addressed here:
Does this export tool also export DRAFTS...I hope so!!!!!!!!
FYI--I exported my main blog and imported it into a test blog. The posts import, but not the comments.
I tried to export a blog and received this error:
The feed specified by http://draft.blogger.com/feeds/573766054849361737/archive is not enabled
will this help someone do spam ob blogger more ez?
Thank you! I was just wishing I could combine two of my blogs. I love, love, love this feature.
What do you mean?
We need this badly, but I don't dare use it until Blogger personnel have hammered it into shape. I've had about all the "sincere apologies for any inconvenience" I can stand for the next ten years. Truly.
I would love to export my old blog.
We sent a fax to blogger months ago but never received a reprisal.
If someone could help me getting my old blog back would be greatly appreciated.
There's 10,000 blog posted in there.
My old blog is
oldmaison.blogspot.com
Merci!!!
Please send me an email at oldmaison@yahoo.com
I was pleased to note the introduction of blog exporting - I have a blog that is nearing 900 posts and sometimes worry about not having a good backup.
Unfortunately, I got the same error message as Angel did on July 1, but I never saw an answer in the comment thread or any indication that others had gotten the same error. Can you help?
This is what happened when I clicked on the "Export" link from the following URL:
http://draft.blogger.com/export-blog.g?blogID=13186734
My browser (Safari v 3.1.2) was directed to the following URL:
feed://draft.blogger.com/feeds/13186734/archive
The page at that URL displayed the following message:
The feed specified by http://draft.blogger.com/feeds/13186734/archive is not enabled
I sure hope that leaving my blog ID in this comment is not some kind of security risk, but I will take my chances.
Used it, all went smoothly. Cheers.
Where did the pictures go? It seems the export feature only saves text?
I can't thank you enough for these features. I haven always been afraid of deleting my blog by mistake and/or losing all my posts.
L
I have followed the insructions -- exporting my blog (osi-speaks.blogspot.com) and saving it on my desktop, then importing it with automatic posting to (osispeaks.blogspot.com) AND VIOLA > NOTHING HAPPENED!
CAN ANYONE HELP?
I WOULD ALSO LIKE TO POST ON ONE SITE AND HAVE IT AUTOMATICALLY BE POSTED ON THE OTHER!
THANKS.
The "export" function doesn't export pictures and labels. Should it ot is it a bug?
no entendi nada
Trying to import 3.3MB of my wordpress blog...Not able to. Any sugestions?
I use a Classic template in my blog, and I've modified the template with lots of hand-coded, trial-and-error kludges. I'd like to upgrade to the new, customizable template-- but I don't know if I could get the kludges to work correctly in it, so I don't dare try.
What I'd like to do is this: Make a backup of the blog, create a new test blog using the modern template, import the backup into this, then fiddle and see if I can get the kludges into the new template and working properly. If I can't, I could just delete the new blog and no harm done.
If I *can* get it to work, then I would want to delete the old blog *and change the URL of the new one to the URL of the old one*, so that readers land on the new blog. (The old URL is linked to from a zillion places on the web.)
Is this last step possible? Is there another way to do this?
Thanks,
Alan
There seems to be a problem with exported entry titles. If they contain apostrophes (') they are converted to numerical character entities. That or they are imported that way. I am going to assume that this will happen to some other characters as well. I don't think the characters are being escaped or unescaped correctly.
¡EN ESPAÑOL, POR FAVOR!
en español gracias
I'm thinking there's a simpler to do what I need to do as stated in my previous post.
So can you guys and gals tell me how I can point one blogspot.com site to another, that way if someone visits one website they will be pointed to another?
Am I able to undo the exporting process?
I encountered the same problem as Ron. Apostrophes in title of imported post are changed into character entities. That should not happen.
Hi, I tried to export my test blog and it worked properly, but when I tried to export my real blog I got an XML file of 1.13 MB and it is not complete. You said that you can import only 1 MB but is there the same restriction for export?
Thanks for this utility.
I endorse the suggestion posted earlier to allow selecting multiple posts for deleting. Managing imported posts will be a mammoth chore without that feature. Please make it a priority. Thank you.
Why does importing require a Captcha?
Hello? Is ANYONE home on this forum from Blogger!
There is a question mark there at the end of the sentence, but I can't find it! LOL.
what happens IF a post-Blog(A) that was exported and than imported in Blog(B)...
is deleted from Blog(A)?
will the post still exist in Blog(B) ???
Yes the Blob B post will still exist. Once you have imported them they are effectively 2 separate entities.
thank you,UFO ...
one more before I start testing: Can one export-import posts from one blog to another, on one-by-one basis ??
No, I believe you have to export all the posts and import all the posts.
What I do is to create dummy blog, import all the posts into the dummy then delete the ones I don't from the dummy. I then export the ones from the dummy and import them to where I want them to go.
buenisimooo me parece muy interesante esta herramienta :) . saludos.
thanks this is great
Hi. I managed to export into the xml file, and import it into another blog. It said that I have successfully imported the posts, as indicated by the increased number of posts. However, once I tried to see the newly-imported posts on the new blog, the blog reverted back to the old number of posts before importing. Imported twice and the same thing happened twice.
What I want is a way to export to a file (like a Word Document or RTF or even HTML) my blog posts including formatting and pictures with the comments right after the post they're connected to. Is there any way to do this? Is there a way to change the xml to html without undue hassle?
Todo esta muy bien pero lo podian poner en español, para que los que no sabemos ingles lo entendamos
Hola es la 1ªvez que entro en esta pagina.
Mi opinión es que deberia de tener la posibilidad de traducir su contenido a cualquier idioma
Hi
Made an export XML file with nothing in it.
Also i used webgrabber for the mac and it works fine on other peoples blogs, but not mine. it chokes on mine. what gives?
Is it the redirected page its not happy with?
xx
I'm still nervous about exporting my blog. I'm afraid I will do something wrong and my blog will be deleted. Is anyone else having these thoughts or has this happened to any of you?
If you're just looking to transfer your blog (like from Wordpress to Blogger like I was) this tool worked for me. Hope someone else finds this useful (and doesn't spend a couple hours looking for it like I did).
http://linuxlore.blogspot.com/2007/09/livejournal-to-blogger-or-blogger-to.html
Since no one at Blogger is answering, does anyone else know if this export tool backs up DRAFTS, or only published posts?
Thanks,
Kelly
I'd like the back up feature to also back up the pictures as well. Basically I would like to back my blog up on a cd and be able to look at it offline.
I am also interested in back up pictures and text all together maybe as a word document... answers?
So when can we export and import more than 1 meg? I have a large blog, when I exported and zapped, so I can use the original templates supplied, and now I cannot import all of my blog.
Also, can we please get more 3 column templates available in the Pick New Template section?
Right now, I am using one called Garland, but I'd love to see more 3 column templates. Plus, using the template I am using, it modifies the code so some items do not work properly.
Also, will there ever be an option to import Haloscan comments back into a blog? And an option to track users IP info and statistics?
Right now I use Haloscan and Site Meter, but it would be real nice if this was available in Blogger without having to use external programs.
THATS ONE GOOD NEWS

I don't understand how this is working for anyone. When I hover over the "Export Blog" button... it's a link to the archive feed page. There's never any option to save an .xml file on my hard drive. Am I completely missing something?
This didn't work at all for me in Safari, but I got it to export in Firefox. But it doesn't seem to be importing the comments. Any ideas?
Export and Import, IMO, should export and import everything. The template being used, comments and posts.
I cannot wait until this is is production and working.
Also, I have MANY enhancements that I think many people would like. Where can I go to suggest these enhancements?
Sincerely,
ZMan!
Thanks for the export feature - it worked well and gives me more security. The posts were not saved in the same order they were created and/or posted though, which is a bit mysterious. Explanation?
Thanks for the export feature. For those interested in how to import Blogger into Wordpress, check my blog post here: http://alex.eftimie.ro/?p=1 .
I produced an XML document, in Atom, containing a feed of my old proprietary blog software's posts. It validates fine. The error message from Blogger on import is "There were problems importing the file."
I can't fix the conversion if I don't know what's wrong. What can I do to get more information about the problem? Are there requirements over and above basic well-formedness and validation?
Blogger in Draft is very good
Blogger in Draft is amazing
Blogger in draft is excellent
Really cool feature, probably on the first places on a "most wanted" list, buggy nontheless:
Tried exporting the blog. Produced an .xml file.
Then, tried to import it to a temporary blog. Greek characters were not recognised, and were shown as '?' (question marks).
It'd be REALLY nice to dump TypePad. Please give me the ability to import my TypePad blog.
Well done.
I am afraid that czech language doesn't work very well:( during the export import operation.
I tried to export posts from one Blogger blog to another and all national characters are messed up :(.
Can you do something about it?
Some suggestions?
a) Site meter to track usage and IP addresses, and allow to block them if needed.
b) In the dashboard editor, the ability to select multiple labels to zero in on items, same on the blog itself. Instead of being able to select 1 label only, multiple labels would be good, like LABELA+LABELB+LABELC to help drill down.
c) In the editor, the ability to delete multiple items at once.
d) Ability to hide some items, viewable by only users you chose to allow to view an item.
e) An enhancement to allow you to show items without a label, if any.
f) More 3 column templates and styles.
g) Option to invite other editors, but for only certain labels.
h) Fix the export/import for huge files, and also to export/import comments, templates and blog items.
This is just a few suggestions.
I threw together a python script to convert a WordPress XML file (WXR format) into an Atom XML file suitable for importing into Blogger. This was how I migrated my old WordPress blog over. The gory details are here: http://blog.durables.org/2008/08/wordpress-migration-to-blogger-complete.html
I created a Google Code project for my WordPress-to-Blogger migration script. I've also cleaned it up a bit. Feel free to download, file bugs, send patches, etc.:

How come when you import another blog, it prevents me from posting ANYTHING?
Can someone from Blogger check this out? I cannot post anything now, after an import.
When I try to publish, it just goes back to the editor, and if I click SAVE, it says:
Post was not saved due to form errors
Can someone fix my blog? I cannot post anything after an import. Maybe it's due to different templates?
http://sexoffenderissues.blogspot.com/
Same thing happened for me. Now that I've successfully imported entries from another blog into this current blog, I cannot post anything on this blog anymore. Why?
How do I Import from Baywords?
I successfully imported my files, but not all the commments has been copied. Anyway to correct this?
Also, I can't seem to publish new posts from that new blog???
Please advice.
I also do not have the full history of my blog when I export. The file stops before the earliest posts with unclosed tags at 688kB
When am I going to be able to import large exported blogs? Every time I try, I get:
Server Error
The server encountered a temporary error and could not complete your request.
Please try again in 30 seconds.
Please let me know if I can import my wordpress blog into blogger?
Pls email me at tanshuyin[at]yahoo.com.
Thanks.
Is there any way to import Haloscan comments into Blogger? I'd love to switch back over to using the Blogger commenting system, but I'd lose years worth of comments.
So is this ever going to be fixed? I try to import my blog into another backup blog, and I always get this error:
Server Error
The server encountered a temporary error and could not complete your request.
Please try again in 30 seconds.
todo bien
What about all my photos? Most of the posts came over, but NO PHOTOS!!! This was a PHOTO JOURNAL --
PLEEEZE HELP!!!
With the photos you can just download the folder that they are contained in and then upload the pictures creating the same folder and update the database in your new blog. Its very simple.
This may well be the feature that keeps me to moving to 3rd party comments like ID and disqus...
I used IntenseDebate and reverted back to Blogger Commenting System. Unfortunately, I cannot import the comments back into Blogger. Can you please fix importing comments? My blog looks deserted...
it would be nice if this feature were modified to include livejournal/wordpress xml files. wordpress has the capability both of importing livejournal xml files and of importing blogger entries/comments. i really want to import all my blogs into one place and delete all the old stuff. i can do that at wordpress, but i'm holding out in hopes that this feature will soon allow that. i'm rather fond of google and its products.
I'm thinking of moving my main blog back to Blogger from Wordpress. Is this possible yet?
Im getting the Same ERROR when i try to publish more then 15 posts at once:
Server Error
The server encountered a temporary error and could not complete your request.
Please try again in 30 seconds.
SUCKS
does anyone know if they are planning on developing this so that we can import from wordpress?
Also encounter "There were problems importing the file." while importing xml's which are aimed for wordpress.
It would be great if blogger could support this kind of importing soon.
If anyone needs a 'converter' to convert Wordpress formatted files to blogspot formatted files I'm sure I could write a conversion tool. Anyone want to work with me on this?
Jeff
I have created simple xsl stylesheet with ability to convert livejournal xml export, to xml document that blogger understands.
In case if anyone is interested - can be downloaded here, as well as step by step 'HowTo'
http://code.google.com/p/lj2blogger/
export dont works for my template, no error in export but file xml is bad formatted and posts and txml's tags are not right close :'(
was trying to migrate my site, unfortunately some comments are not being exported :(
i did a re-export serveral times, and the export facility gives out different results. i just pick the largest filesize, but that does not give me all the comments though.
This was a great help until when I was trying to export and kept getting an error. What can be wrong that I keep getting the error.
Hi all. I'm going to close off comments here since this feature is live on WWW.
